Welcome to the blog! I am a film photographer from North Carolina, with a authentic, timeless style. Have a cup of coffee and/or glass a wine if you prefer and join me on a journey of love stories!
“I hope you don’t mind, that I put down in words, how wonderful life is while you’re in the world”
If thou dost love, pronounce it faithfully: Or if thou thinkest I am too quickly won, I'll frown, and be perverse, and say thee nay, so thou wilt woo: but else, not for the world. In truth, fair Montague, I am too fond; And therefore thou mayst think my 'haviour light: But trust me, gentleman, I'll prove more true than those that have more cunning to be strange.
The Carolina Inn is a boutique hotel located on the UNC Chapel Hill campus (for 90 years!). This historic hotel is a stunning venue for a wedding and reception. It offers so much charm and natural light and has a variety of options for a ceremony. Jocelyn and Dan got married a few weeks ago (NYE weekend) and the day was just a dream! They were married inside the Chancellor’s Ballroom and had the reception in the Old Well Ballroom. The couple even had signature drinks made, the Bride having a Dirty Martini and the Groom having a Basil Haydon Old Fashion. The colors were burgundy, white, and greenery; also the rooms were still decorated for Christmas. Jocelyn and Dan decided to do a first look to maximize their photo time since the sun sets around 5pm in the winter. It was PERFECT. I literally set them up and had no real direction through most of their photos! It was inspiring that they were so in the moment and really took it in while with each other before the ceremony. We ended the day with a sparkler exit outside the gorgeous inn!
